Suspects allegedly went on shopping spree with stolen credit card

On Monday, D'Iberville police arrested two men accused of credit card fraud, according to D'Iberville Police Chief Wayne Payne.

Payne said an investigation revealed Cody Ray Seymour, 27, of Ocean Springs and Scott Anthony Ponson, 24, of Biloxi stole a credit card from a friend’s roommate.

“They came to visit the victim’s roommate and stole the credit card out of her purse,” Payne said.

The two suspects allegedly made fraudulent credit card charges at Wal-Mart in D'Iberville. Payne said the charges were more than $1,000.

D'Iberville police publicized Seymour and Ponson as one of the most wanted in D'Iberville Sunday. Payne said publicizing the two helped lead to their arrest.

The two suspects are being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a $10,000 bond each set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or any other crime is asked to contact D’Iberville Police Department at 228-396-4252 or Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898/www.mscoastcrimestoppers.com.
